Balloon 50 — Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 18, 2026
Balloon 50 ("the app", "we", "us") is a casual arcade game. This page explains what
data the app collects, why, and who it's shared with.
No account, no personal sign-up
You never create an account, enter an email, or provide a real name to play. On first
launch, the app creates an anonymous, device-linked identifier (via Supabase
anonymous authentication) so your scores and settings can persist between sessions on
that device. This identifier is not linked to your real identity.
What we collect
-
Anonymous device ID — a random identifier created on first launch,
used only to associate your scores with your device.
-
Display name — either an auto-generated cute name (e.g. "Sparkly
Blob #482") or one you type in yourself. Shown publicly on leaderboards. Please
don't put personal information in it.
-
Gameplay data — your scores, best score, and run history, used to
power local high scores and the public leaderboards (All-Time, Weekly, Daily,
Challenge).
-
Basic app analytics — aggregate, non-identifying usage data (e.g.
page views) via Vercel Analytics, used to understand overall app usage. This is not
tied to your name or device ID.
-
Advertising data — the app shows ads via Google AdMob. AdMob may
collect device identifiers (such as your Advertising ID), approximate
location, and interaction data to serve and measure ads. This data is collected and
processed by Google under
Google's Privacy Policy,
not by us directly.
What we don't collect
We do not collect your real name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, or
precise location. We do not require or support any social or email sign-in.
Who we share data with
- Supabase — hosts the database that stores your anonymous ID, display name, and scores.
- Google AdMob — serves ads within the app.
- Vercel — hosts the app and its basic analytics.
We do not sell your data.
Data deletion
Since accounts are anonymous and tied to your device, there's no traditional
"delete my account" flow yet. If you'd like your leaderboard data removed, contact us
(below) with your in-game display name and roughly when you played, and we'll remove
the associated row.
Children's privacy
Balloon 50 is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect
personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above.
